Being in ketosis, do you burn just fat or fat and muscle during a cardio session of running?

In ketosis the presence of carbs are null so your body is using fat as the primary fuel (energy) source. If high protein intake is taken, would running burn fat or fat+muscle?

What’s best walking on a treadmill with no elevation to burn fat?

I am walking really fast without running 6.3
I am finding when I elevate to 5 for longer periods my knees hurt.

I burn around 230cal and walk 3km a day about 5 times a week and that’s with no elevation, and do plan to include weight training soon any tips!

I am 171cm tall and weigh 74kg I am within my healthy range but would like to loose a few kgs.
Most of the excess weight I need to lose is around the mid area, bottom, stomach and thighs.

And I heard it’s best to work out to burn fat first thing in the morning before breakfast?

I have home gym equipment and treadmill at home.

The burning more fat doing cardio in the morning is debatable. Some people agree, some disagree. Theres researchers, doctors, bodybuilders, and professional athletes that dont agree on which ones better. If you feel it works for you, then do it.

If you have knee problems, I think you should change your shoes and be careful how you walk on the treadmill when you walk fast, some people pound their feet and it causes knee pain. But if you have knee pain, I think you should go on the elliptical instead of the treadmill because it is easier on the knees.

When you start doing weight lifting, lift weights first and then do cardio.

Also, 230 calories is nothing. You should at least double that. Jog or run, forget about walking. If your going to spend time going to the gym, do it right, your time is valuable, dont waste it by walking.

Will "Fat Loss 4 Idiots" work for me?

I’m in no way fat, but I’m doing a boudoir (lingerie/nude) photo shoot in about 2 months and I want to look my best. I’m 5′5", and I weigh 125 pounds. I know that my figure could use a little toning, but I absolutely hate exercising more than anything. Does muscle burn fat everywere or just in that muscle group?

I heard that if you build muscle the muscle will burn fat, but will it burn fat everywhere or just at the area near the muscle? For example, if I wanted to lose fat on my stomach, will building up my arm muscles help burn that fat?

Good question.. How does muscles in your arms burn fat from your thighs, existing fat that is. Muscle will burn calories, which could lead to fat being burned everywhere. I’m going to be the odd one out here and say, muscles only burns EXISTING fat in that muscle group, but indirectly it burns fat everywhere since its using all your calories.

What are the best Natural Weight Loss Pills?

I used to be very active but since starting college and working crazy hours I have found it hard to maintain a steady work out schedule and my weight is just fluctating like crazy. I also would like some more energy since stress is slow wearing me down. I have been trying to research natural weight loss pills to help me along (like the Acai Berry - which sounds most promising) however it’s been really hard to research which ones are actaully good for your body and where you can find them in Canada (Ontario - Toronto area more specifically). the key to your weight loss will be your diet. Not pills, there are no magic pills. Acai berry is just all hype. Diet is key, there is no pill or anything else that will make u lose fat with out a good diet.

No Weight Loss pills are "good" for you body. The answer isnt a pill. Its hard work and a good diet.
