How much should my heart rate be in order for me to burn fat?

Is there a way to calculate the optimum heart rate for fat burn according to my age and weight?

The optimum heart rate is obviously the highest you can reasonably get to.

The "fat burning" range is actually quite low. If you really want to see results, do intense cardio.

The first answer is nonsense, they’re obviously clueless.

Heart rate isn’t really a factor for losing weight. There are dozens of other factors that are more important. Your calorie intake vs calorie burn is the most important.

You will burn the same amount of fat walking for 2-3 hours as you would running for 1.

You could also run a marathon and not lose any weight if you eat too much in that day. Monitor your calories and look up calorie counts for different exercises. 3500 = approximately one pound.

    Hope that helps.

well burning fat is an interesting way to put it. what about burning carbs? That’s where people lose focus. Don’t say you want to burn this or that, just focus on burning calories.
The best thing to do is lower your caloric intake and do cardio and try and keep your heart rate in a range of 115 - 130 bpm for about 30 - 45 min 6 days a week.
