How good is the Apex meal replacement?
I have am trying to loose weight and I am exploring my options on supplements that will help "boost" my loss. My gym carries Apex, both in the bars and the shake meal replacements. I am guessing this is a fairly new product because I cannot find any reviews on it. Any comments or concerns are welcome! =]
The reason I feel I would need something like this is that I know diets do not work for me. I love food too much and I need something that will make me feel full so I wont want to snack all day. Plus I am a full time mother/wife/college student so I need something quick and easy for meals around lunch time.
Hmmmm, difficult to track down. In 2005(!)
www.apexfitness.com
Address 100 Camino Ruiz
Camarillo, California 93012
United States
Phone 800.656.2739
You would have to check the packaging to see if this is still the address.
The company seems to have started in 2004.
Apex Fitness Group is a “division of 24 hour fitness."
A lot of the sites seem to be rated ‘poor reputation’
None of that answers your question anf there does not appear to be an answer online. One ‘review’ is on an advertising site (’poor reputation’ again), so that doesn’t count All the 24 hour fitness gyms will carry the supplements. Part of the same organisation. Pretty smart operation!
Meal replacements can be used with some succes. If you do try the products you had better write an honest review.
Herbalife….Does it work for weight loss?
I am very active…and an intense exercise program, which I have been very focused..however, want to see more results…it adds a little motivation…
A friend that I just met, claim they have done very well with the Weight Loss with this product, I am looking for reviews…and hopefully successful reviews that the product does work.
Thanks
I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate
Has anyone used the diet pill apidexin?
I am thinking about adding a diet supplement to my Weight Loss plan. I’ve found many positive and many negative reviews of the product. Just wondering if anyone has tried it. their results, or any other supplements that you’ve had a positive experience with…..
Diet pills are a waste of money, don’t work, and some are actually bad for you with nasty side effects. No pill, potion or supplement will help. Please don’t fall for all the spam adverts you see.
All you need is a good healthy diet - lots of fruit and veg, and exercise. It takes time and motivation:)
how to get rid of man boobs? gynecomastia?
hi, i have had way larger than normal nipples/tissue surrounding the nipple area all my life and i would like to know how to get rid of that that doesnt involve expensive surgery.
I have been looking at a product called Ultimate Gynemax and i see alot of good reviews and stuff on it but im ALWAYS skeptical about Weight Loss and fat burners that claim to make you lose alot of weight really fast. i know alot of those kind of things can be dangerous. Does anyone know of anything you can do for this condition besides the obvious lipo suction? or does anyone know anything about Ultimate Gynemax? "which is suppose to really help with the condition if not cure it completely". I am somewhat overweight but you can really tell my nipples are way larger than they’re suppose to be. My estrogen levels in my blood sample were higher than normal but my doctor said that my fat cells were storing extra testestorone that was being converted into estrogen thats all i know about that i dont know if that could be causing this condition or not.
People say that surgery is the only real answer.
There are a lot of products out there but no surefire ones.
Things that might work are injections to disolve the fat, and chemical strips.
In all honesty though the 50/100$’s you spend on pills could pay part of the surgery cost.
Is Extreme Cut Energy a good weight-loss product (with no rebound)?
Hi,
Is this product - http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http://farmais.net/extreme-cut-man-energy-p-1295.html¤cy=EUR&langpair=pt&hl=en - a good Weight Loss product?
To put into context, I’m a 27 y.o. with average weight and a average/good muscle build. I work out 2-5 times a week - 4 days weights and about 20-60 minutes cardio. I’ve been sloppy for the past month and got a little flabby. I need to lose weight but I have two concerns:
- Using a weight loss product that might work, but the rebound makes you gain weight and lose muscle.
- Becoming dependent and not being able to build further after using the product.
The above product sounds good, but I need some reviews to let me know if it works well and if it has no rebound (for example, Xdra Cut was VERY good, you’d see results very fast, but the rebound made you really gain weight…).
I have a normal diet - I don’t eat fast food (very VERY rarelly) but I eat about 20 grams of chocolate every day. I don’t eat too much fat but I eat some - I believe in balanced diets.
What do you think?
Thanks for the help!
No.
1- Diet
2- Exercise

Yahzmin (US) [busy], your Prior Response Speaks for itself:
Another answer you won’t like, I’m sure.
1) First, the original ‘question’ that got the violation was not a question "I Just Saw this Ad, "Zylotrim" (MSNBC), Another "Powerful" Weight Loss Supplement (See Below)?" Simply putting a question mark at the end of a statement does not make it a question.
2) Additionally, posting links to product sites is considered SPAM, so yes, that broke the rules. So did posting the youtube link, which is also considered soliciting (because ‘hits’ on youtube are recorded and used to rate videos).
3) Posting your email address on this site is a violation of the rules as well (privacy invasion), even if it is YOUR email.
4) The appeal process is not ‘faux’, as many, many users have successfully used it, including myself.
5) You have an issue number — use it to email the staff as directed. ONLY THEY can help you in any way. Posting this repeatedly on this site or th

Now, It is Needed to Keep people From Pushing their Scams On this Site, the Honest Pay the Price, By Having the Questions Deleted and Accounts Suspended, Because Someone, In Power Thinks they MIGHT Be a Scam, One Needs to Actually READ the Question. No Doubt, to Some the Points Have a Lot of Meaning, but to me they Are Worthless, Except for Increased Privileges.
2) Additionally, posting links to product sites is considered SPAM, so yes, that broke the rules. So did posting the youtube link, which is also considered soliciting (because ‘hits’ on youtube are recorded and used to rate videos).
Still No Response Today, Becoming Even More Telling. But you can’t Shame people With No Shame.
Still No Reasponse from the Y!A Tem after Over 1 Week and a Day, From Suspension, this is the Typical Unresponsiveness of an Arrogant Bureaucracy, When they Realize they don’t Have an Answer. Perhaps they Gave Themselves an Excuse that I was "Ranting" (See Yahsmin’s A Above) ("Blame the Person").
The Question is no Longer About the Y!A Criteria, but a Person In the Bureaucracies’ Criteria (See Yahsmin’s Initial Response Above).
Sorry, "Yahzmin".
BTW, A Suggestion I Got Elsewhere:
?Anyway, the content is technically yours, but Y!A will keep it on their servers as they see fit (*somebody* went the extra step and deleted all my content knowing I wanted it for future use).??These folks won’t tell you how to get your content because they are tight with staff and probably were the ones that reported you. Use this URL for your questions:??http://answers.yahooapis.com/AnswersService/V1/getByUser?appid=YahooDemo&results=50&start=0&user_id=AA11884807??You get 50 at a time, then change the parameter "&start=" to 51, 101, 151 etc.??Use this for your answers:?http://answers.yahooapis.com/AnswersService/V1/getByUser?appid=YahooDemo&filter=answer&results=50&start=0&user_id=AA11884807??Search "Yahoo Answers API" at userscripts.org if you want a script that can help a little bit (but not much in this case).
Sorry, add this parameter to the URLS above: "&output=rss". Some RSS readers (and Opera) will take the URLs and give you a feed or search
Would just like to comment on the blind compliance to the supposed rational rules here at Y!A. Seems these answerers mostly step on her own dinks for the "good" of Y!A staffer credibility. Really paints Yahoo staff with a dumb stick, if you ask me.
Let’s use Yahzim’s answer you copied into this Q, mdGreg C, as an example of what I am referring to, here.
"Another answer you won’t like, I’m sure.
1) First, the original ‘question’ that got the violation was not a question "I Just Saw this Ad, "Zylotrim" (MSNBC), Another "Powerful" Weight Loss Supplement (See Below)?" Simply putting a question mark at the end of a statement does not make it a question."
[Looks like someone needs a wee bit more time having real conversations with others? Some additional social experiences? Some more time in school? All statements, see, but still questions. How about this: "another powerful abuse of power?" Is this a question? Well, in reality it is. Maybe not in la-la land. When a statement has a question mark at the end of it, it becomes a question. Or, are these just not questions in the fantasy land minds of Y!A staffers. I have no idea].
"2) Additionally, posting links to product sites is considered SPAM, so yes, that broke the rules. So did posting the youtube link, which is also considered soliciting (because ‘hits’ on youtube are recorded and used to rate videos)."
[This may be *considered* or *believed* to be spam, but it is NOT, clearly. I mean, is this *really* not crystal clear? Read the original f@cking question that led to "suspension". Also, if people who used youtube or other links as a source were all suspended??, pffft, there would be no users and no site.]
"3) Posting your email address on this site is a violation of the rules as well (privacy invasion), even if it is YOUR email."
[An invasion of privacy of your own privacy? An invasion on your own privacy that YOU have agreed is not an invasion of privacy is still an invasion of privacy. Give me a break. This one REALLY is a no-brainer, devoid of any logic, what so ever].
"4) The appeal process is not ‘faux’, as many, many users have successfully used it, including myself".
[Bull. Why is it that almost all people who get deleted (what "suspension", really means) NEVER get their accounts back. Are Y!A staff that good at determining who is in violation, even though "reports" are wholely based on community reports? Guess there are no trolls here. Guess erroneous reporting very rarely if ever happens here. Guess this was a valid violation, too: http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Avm0yi4HTq_xxFEYtWGvDJDpYH1G;_ylv=3?qid=20100105211434AAkfAbJ Guess the word, "troll" is just something made up and most people here do not have multiple accounts and target people they dislike. Oh, if only Y!A would review supposed violating Q's and A's FAIRLY, or at all. In any event, there is too much evidence to the contrary to support Yahzmin's contention that the appeal process has been successful for "many, many users". If this were true and it WAS fair, mdGreg C would have his account back, already].
"5) You have an issue number — use it to email the staff as directed. ONLY THEY can help you in any way. Posting this repeatedly on this site or the Suggestion Forum is spamming (again) and ranting — and therefore another violation."
[Gee, now asking a Q, that is deleted for nothing in the forum, is spamming? A question posted in the question section is ranting, too? Can't keep up with the blatant arbitrary, inconsistency of the "rules", here].
It appears, mdGreg C, that Y!A staff have been too lazy to read your original Q. Now, you have ticked them off, so they are abusing their power to justify what is CLEARLY unjust. Hope it is not that they just aren’t smart enough to see your Q as one merely querying the validity of an obvious scam, that started this whole mess, in the first place. That would be a real shame.
EDIT: Gee, thumbs-down in the Yahoo Answers section patrolled by Staffers and "blind compliers". What a surprise.
Obesity Causes? Social Stigma?
Obesity: Social Prejudices and the Medical Community’s Disregard
It’s a meaner world out there folks. Everywhere you turn there are people who choose to be hateful in deed and word for just about any reason you can think of. There is the obvious and not so subtle racism, class prejudice, ageism, and political polarization, just to name a few.
That’s not to say that there are not exceptions to every rule but so many people have adopted political correctness to such a degree that humans have found much more subtle ways of showing their hatreds.
Some of these behaviors have gone underground only to emerge in our institutions, businesses and social strata. Sure it’s always been there but now it appears that its effects are more noticeable and very, effectively dehumanizing to those on the receiving end of the many prejudices and bigotry being voiced concerning those of us who are not a size 5.
Obese, heavy, overweight people are REALLY catching hell. People assume that when they see an overweight or obese person that they must be lazy, unproductive; lacking the will to take better care of them selves. I am sure that a small percentage of people in the USA fit that bill, however, you may be surprised that most of them do not.
There are many reasons for obesity. The bottom line though is that people who are obese or become obese have bodies that literally no longer work the way they are supposed to.
Here are a few medical and non-medical reasons people become obese:
Processed Foods: White-flour-based anything, sugar, coffee, booze and high sodium content (all of which usually make up processed food) is the enemy of the human body. It doesn’t know what to do with it but glean what little nutrients it can, store the majority and dump the rest.
Hypothyroidism: Since the thyroid controls the basic workings of the human metabolism, if it is too low, then it cannot convert many food calories into a usable source and that inability will cause weight gain despite healthy eating practices. When the thyroid goes wacko on the low end you WILL get fat. If it goes wacko on the high end, you can lose weight exponentially and have as many medical problems as an obese person.
Cushing’s Disease/Syndrome (Cushing’s disease has always been considered a dog or horse problem, hmmm go figure): This disease is “reportedly” prevalent in only 10% of each million people if you want to believe what the CDC, FDA and AMA bother to report. Cushing’s occurs because the body producing too much Cortisol. Cortisol controls regulation of blood pressure and the immune system, and keeps insulin levels in the body stable. In Cushing’s Disease, it is assumed that only a tumor on the pituitary gland is responsible for the production of excess Cortisol. However, a few other doctors disagree and have found that Cushing’s Syndrome can also be caused by food dependency and steroid- based products such as Prednisone; especially if they have been taken for long periods of time.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome: is a hormonal disorder in women. Most women would not know to ask their doctors to have them tested for this disease because the medical community considers it rare. I dare say it may be the norm today with the amount of hormones coming through our food products for many years.
Oral Contraceptives: Progestins and other steroid based drugs for cancer often throw the thyroid out of balance and injure the Hypothalamus, which usually results in weight gain.
Anti-Psychotic and Anti-Depressants: Taken even a short time, depending on the health of the thyroid or hypothalamus, will cause either weight gain or Weight Loss. The majority is weight gain especially in those taking these drugs for many years. I am doing research now as to how many people taking these drugs have had their thyroid effected, treated ,or removed.
Insulin and Insulin-Stimulating Drugs: These drugs are used to treat diabetes almost always leads to weight gain. Talking about a conflict of interest when it comes to a person already overweight from diabetes and deeply disturbing for those with type 2 diabetes

Doctors, pharmaceutical companies, the diet industry, and exercise businesses have a vested interest in keeping as many people obese as possible. Money.
I mean do you know how much a lap-band and stomach stapling costs? In some instances Medicare will pay for these surgeries before they pay for the many tests available to diagnose any one of the above stated problems.
Instead, millions are spent on denigrating people who find themselves obese and have no clue why. Billions are spent on gyms, get-thin drugs, exercise tapes and books, special foods, diet clubs, plastic surgeons and equipment, by people desperate to reclaim active, healthier lives and avoid the worse part…social stigma.

( I don’t really care how much weight I lose on the scale) I really just want a flat tummy, not a specific weight goal. I’ve read all about the "scams" blah blah blah. Ok, so i have read a bunch of positive reviews for the Acai Berry weightloss products and i am ready try it. Which is the best Acai Berry Product? The Pills? Powder? Juice?
Are Healthfood stores, like GNC, the best place to get these products? I only want to lose like 20 pounds, so how fast are the results? And how much should i take a day? Are diet and excersise also helpful in acheiving weightloss?? Any information from actual users of this product would be really helpful!!!! Thanks!!!! =)
